SensorCircle Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy governs your use of SensorCircle (“the app”), a mobile application that allows users to search public sex offender registry data, including the National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) and, where available, direct state registry sources. By using SensorCircle, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
SensorCircle is designed to collect nothing about you. The app requires no registration, no account, and no personal information of any kind to access any feature.
We do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Device identifiers
- IP addresses
- Search history or app usage data
- Location data (see Section 2 below)
2. Location Information
SensorCircle uses your device’s location only to perform proximity searches — showing registered offenders near a position you search from. This location data is used ephemerally, on your device, for the sole purpose of completing that search. It is never transmitted to, received by, or stored on our servers, and it is not retained by the app after the search is complete.
3. Data Sources
Registry data displayed in SensorCircle is sourced from publicly available government sex offender registries, including the National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW), operated by the U.S. Department of Justice, and direct state registry sources where available. SensorCircle does not independently maintain or verify this data and is not responsible for its accuracy or completeness. Users seeking official records should consult NSOPW or their state’s registry directly.
4. Tips and In-App Purchases
SensorCircle is provided free of charge with no paywalls or required purchases. Users who wish to support the app may optionally purchase a one-time “tip” through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. These are consumable, non-recurring purchases with no subscription or ongoing billing.
All tip purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google. SensorCircle does not receive, collect, or store any payment information, and no personal information is exchanged with us as part of a tip purchase. Billing, receipts, and refund inquiries should be directed to the respective platform.
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Because SensorCircle does not collect any personal information, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or disclose to third parties. We do not run advertisements within the app and do not use any tracking or analytics tools that identify individual users.
6. Data Retention
We do not retain any personal data, because none is collected. There is nothing to store and therefore nothing to delete on request.
7. Children’s Privacy

Because SensorCircle does not collect or store personal information, there is no personal data on our servers to be exposed by a security incident. Registry data displayed in the app is drawn from public government sources.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. The effective date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of SensorCircle after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
